Damage, defect or defect in a Funko

Before reading the return process for Funko products for damage and/or damage, please refer to the general returns guide here.

Funko products require specific treatment due to their manufacturing process and original packaging. For this reason, some common variations are not considered a defect, damage or incorrect item.

At Funko, NO damage or defects are considered as follows

The following cases are considered normal variations and shall not be subject to claims:

  • Minor manufacturing imperfections.
  • Minimal paint alterations.
  • Variations in internal product positioning.
  • Slight signs in the box derived from the industrial or logistic process.

Stickers / stickers on Funko (Chase vs other stickers)

On Funko products there may be different stickers or elements on the box. Their treatment depends on the type:

Edition Stickers (NOT Chase) – Exclusive, Special Edition and the like

Some references may include edition stickers (not Chase). These elements may vary, change design or not be present depending on print run, market or supplier information.

Therefore, it will not be considered an incident if the product received corresponds to the model and reference indicated in the title, even if the sticker shown in images does not match or is not included, unless the title explicitly guarantees a specific feature.

Sticker Chase – Specific variant

The Chase variant is a specific version of the product. If a Chase figure is delivered, it must include the corresponding Chase sticker.

References that may include Chase are marketed in 5+1 format (5 standard + 1 Chase), unless “Chase guaranteed” is explicitly indicated in the title.

If a Chase image is shown without express indication in the title, it will be considered a catalog error and may be treated as an incorrect item, subject to validation by after-sales.

Damage/defects in packaging (box, window, blister)

This policy applies to damage or defects limited to the packaging (box, carton, window, blister).
Important: if the damage does not affect the figure, no replacement or return protocol applies; compensation criteria will be applied if applicable.

Claim deadline:
Claims for damaged products must be made within 48 hours of delivery.

Required evidence (required)

To validate the incident it will be essential to attach clear photographs of:

A) Product and damage

  • Full frontal picture of the product (packaging).
  • Photo of the damage in the foreground.
  • Side/top photo (to check structure and closure).
  • If damage to the figure is alleged: photo of the figure or of the interior.

B) Logistical packaging and protection (mandatory)

  • Photos of the outer shipping box (minimum 2 sides) with the label visible and legible.
  • Photo of the inside of the packaging showing the protective material.
  • Photo of the product inside the packaging before removal (if documented).

✅ Without these photos complete or out of time, the incident may remain pending validation or be considered not proceeding if there is insufficient evidence of damage in transit.

Criteria for resolution of packaging damage

NOT applicable (no compensation)

Compensation is not applicable when the damage is slight, usual for transport/handling and does not affect the integrity, closure, protection or presentation in a relevant way.

Typical examples (NOT applicable):

  • Superficial scratches or slight marks on cardboard/plastic.
  • Slightly marked corners or with slight folds without relevant sinking.
  • Small ripples or dents that do not alter the overall shape of the case.
  • Micro shocks not very noticeable at 30-50 cm.
  • Slight wrinkles on cardboard.
  • Superficial cutter marks without open slit.
  • Slight manufacturing irregularities with no impact on presentation.

Coupon 15% (slight compensable damage)

Applies when damage is visible, but:

  • the box closes properly,
  • maintains structure/stiffness,
  • no opening,
  • does not compromise protection,
and the impact on presentation is moderate.

Examples (15%):

  • Corner with slight subsidence without collapse.
  • Slight visible deformation.
  • Window/plastic marked significantly without severe sagging.
  • Visible and relevant cutter mark with no open slit.

Coupon 30% (moderate compensable damage)

Applies when damage to the packaging is evident and clearly affects the presentation or structure, but the figure is intact and the packaging continues to protect the product.

Examples (30%):

  • Crushing or clear deformation in front or upper.
  • Obvious sunken corners (semi-collapsed).
  • Partial loss of rigidity.
  • Sunken or detached window without opening.
  • Large, highly visible cutter mark with no open slit.

Serious damage (replacement / return)

Applies when the damage goes beyond the packaging and affects the figure or compromises its integrity.

Examples:

  • Breakage, loose parts, severe deformation or damaged paint.
  • Packaging with actual opening, perforation or structural breakage that has caused or may cause damage to the figure.
  • Product not suitable for normal use or exposure due to damage.

Availability and destination resolution rule

  • In peninsula / standard domestic shipments: substitution will be applied subject to availability. If out of stock, returns will be processed.
  • In islands or shipments abroad: the return will be prioritized for logistical and cost criteria. Substitution is only exceptionally contemplated under validation.

Coupon generation and validity

The coupons generated by incidents are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
